Here are items left from a dinner set by Alfred Meakin, made in England.
The pattern, also known as "Kingsdale" in some instances, features a detailed scroll design on the rim has a super dark cobalt blue border that can appear black and is finished with elegant gold trim.
Alfred Meakin produced this pattern in England, an example of classic English china from the Staffordshire potteries with many items dating back to the mid-20th century, typically from the 1940s to the 1960s. The pattern is discontinued, making individual pieces rare and sought after.

The design is also known by the pattern number 1867.

Condition: good vintage without crazing. The vegetable or soup tureen has a small chip on one of its handles. Some of the items have slight staining or manufacturing blemishes.

Alfred Meakin earned its reputation for producing durable yet elegant tableware that graced formal dining tables across Britain and beyond. The Bleu de Roi pattern exemplifies this commitment to quality craftsmanship, blending classical design principles with meticulous attention to detail.

Each piece was engineered to withstand regular use while maintaining its refined aesthetic—a testament to early 20th-century manufacturing excellence.

Now discontinued, this pattern is increasingly difficult to source, making this an exceptional opportunity for collectors completing or restoring a vintage service.

Whether you're seeking to fill gaps in an inherited set or curate a cohesive vintage collection, these replacements offer authenticity and historical significance that modern reproductions cannot match.

Preserved in very good condition without crazing, these pieces retain their original beauty and patina. To ensure longevity, hand wash only; pieces are not dishwasher or microwave safe due to the delicate gilding. Refer to photos for full condition details.
