A distinguished orphan saucer from J & G Meakin's celebrated Sunshine Pickwick range, this 6.5" piece bears the hallmarks of mid-century British ceramics craftsmanship. Registration numbers 561073 and SOL 391413 authenticate its provenance. The saucer exhibits minimal wear with only light crazing—a natural patina that speaks to its age and authenticity. Measuring 16.5 cm across, it remains in excellent condition, making it a worthy addition to vintage tableware collections or a thoughtful complement to existing Pickwick pieces.

You can buy with confidence from our eclectic range of genuine vintage and antique items.

Our customers know that buying vintage is good for the planet, while we also get something that was made with quality and endurance in mind.

Over the years we have collected hundreds of beautiful examples of early to mid 20th century porcelain and earthenware produced mainly in England and Europe by reputable potteries. As manufacturing of these products in most cases ceased around the 1970s, the surviving items will become ever more precious.

Please remember that signs of wear and flaws in vintage items actually add to their charm and tell us a story, that’s why we love them! When the description mentions “crazing” (a network of fine lines in the fired glazed surface of pottery) in some cases that is accidental or deliberately produced/accentuated as a desired effect.
