Gorgeous doesn't even start to describe this hand painted majolica Art Deco biscuit canister. It dates back to between 1917 and 1930 and the shape resembles 19th century designs.
It has a bit of surface wear on the gold lustre glazed lion heads (of which there are 3) and the silver plated lid and handle that was made by Jackson's England. It also has a small paint smear that happened at the time of manufacturing which is hard to notice because of the busy pattern.
Measures: 15 cm/6" tall, 17 cm/7" wide
