This small size dish features a rose bouquet with a wide gold chintz band. The rim is scalloped and trimmed with gold gilding. Diameter: 9 cm/3 ½” approx.

Condition: a bit of surface wear and crazing that can be mostly seen on the back. Please look at the photos carefully as they form part of the description.

This vintage decorative dish was produced by English china company James Kent Ltd during the 1940's at the Old Foley pottery in Longton, Staffordshire.
Stoke-onTrent in Staffordshire, England is known as "The Potteries" as it is an area renowned for quality pottery production since the mid 1700's or earlier. Many of the small towns situated here are involved, or have a history, in the manufacture of quality ceramics, fine china and porcelain.
James Kent Ltd was established in the region in the late 1890's and is also known for their signature gold chintz and floral patterns which became very popular.
