It's handmade of slightly off-white cotton. You will need a separate cushion cover over the cushion insert as the lace is not lined. It closes on the back with strings so the back is not fully covered.

In very good vintage (used) condition, there is a rust spot on the back, as pictured. The pattern is only on the front of the cover, the back is just a net pattern. It doesn't have any buttons or other means of closing it though you can add something, or even just a nice ribbon. The gap to insert the cushion is at the bottom, not the back.
